“Lexis” is a Greek word meaning a total stock of words in a language and it’s a level of language consisting of vocabulary. Complex was inspired by my name and my Complex PTSD. I wanted to create something that helps combat mental health stigma and validates emotional traumas and helps people understand what coping with the lasting effects of trauma looks like .
I firmly believe in the power and lasting impact of words and their meanings, especially how we define them. Words, meaning, emotions, empathy, and lyrics all go together related to shared experiences and emotional connections. Each page includes a collection of writing, a playlist link, and some pictures from my life. I hope this experience will inform you and influence how you perceive PTSD, loss, and love.
